DVD offers a convenient delivery vehicle for high quality audio and video. You want to give your viewers an experience that submerges them in your vision. DVD Studio Pro give you the tools you need to deliver that vision.

MPEG Encoder Striking Cinema
DVD Studio Pro includes a software MPEG encoder that will work in any QuickTime-savvy video editor, such as Final Cut Pro. The encoder supports both PAL and NTSC formats and 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios. The program will also accept MPEG streams from other encoders.

The DVD spec and DVD Studio Pro allow for up to 99 video tracks in a project and you can set up to nine angles per track. The program allows for chapter markers within tracks to facilitate jumping directly to various points in a DVD. If you want to create alternate versions, simply use the multistory feature.

The comprehensive DVD Studio Pro manual includes tips for spatial mixing so you can create exactly the effect you want your listeners to experience. Once you’ve mixed your audio into one of the supported formats — AIFF, SoundDesigner II, QuickTime or WAVE — creating Dolby Digital files is easy.

A command of excellence
DVD Studio Pro, with its high-quality MPEG-2 encoder and useful A.Pack utility, gives you the quality and control you need to produce a sensory showpiece.

Sound Off
DVD Studio includes a separate application, A.Pack, for use in encoding your audio into the Dolby Digital format (also known as AC-3). Dolby Digital is the preferred audio format for DVD-Video discs. A.Pack is Dolby-certified so you can be sure it will produce high-quality, compatible output.

Select the sound files and assign them to the correct position in the sound field. A.Pack does the rest, giving you an AC-3 audio stream ready to include on a DVD. If you desire, you can listen to your audio stream on your Macintosh.

DVD Studio Pro - Audio Input
But you don’t have to use Dolby Digital — DVD Studio Pro accepts MPEG and PCM audio as well. DVD Studio Pro lets you use up to eight audio streams per video track. Mark your audio streams by language for automatic selection by DVD players.
