Step #1. Determine whether or not you need to Download iTunes.

a. If you have an Apple Macintosh Computer running OS X or an iPod (on either a Mac or Windows), you do not need to download iTunes although you should check for updates to ensure that you have the latest version.

If you have a Windows based PC, you will likely need to download iTunes. You can check to see if you have it installed already by going to "Start" and then "All Program" to see if it is in the list of Progams.

iTunes has come pre-installed on Macs for many years, so it is very likely that a version of iTunes is installed on your Mac. To verify that iTunes is installed in your Mac, you should see it in your Dock. Your Dock should look something like this:
If iTunes is installed in your Mac, then Proceed to the Podcast Downloading and Listening Instructions.
b. If iTunes is not installed on your Mac then go to our iTunes Downloading Instructions for Mac.
c. If iTunes is installed in your Windows based PC, you should see it in your Programs. It should look something like this:
If iTunes is installed in your PC, then Proceed to the Podcast Downloading and Listening Instructions.

Step #2. Downloading and installing iTunes for Windows

a. Firstly, we recommend using Mozilla Firefox as a browser instead of Internet Explorer. Firefox generally provides a more secure browsing environment. Using Firefox or Internet Explorer, go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/. When you get there, it should look something like this:
b. Under Download Now, make sure that the Windows 2000 or XP is selected (this is good for Vista as well). If you need iTunes for Mac OS X, you can download it there as well. In order to avoid being spamed by Apple, I suggest you do not put checks in the boxes and you do not put your email address in the Email Address field .. it should then look like the picture above. Then select Download iTunes and the download should begin. You may get a Security Warning about going to an encrypted page. You can select OK on it
c.
If you are using Firefox as a web browser: After you select Download iTunes, you then will likely get a box asking if you'd like to save the file. Hit the Save File button.

After selecting Save File, you will see a download box appear like the following:
Select Open and you may get a requester box like the following:
I can pretty much assure you that the iTunes download program does not contain a virus or other malicious code, so hit OK.

If you are using Internet Explorer as a web browser: After you select Download iTunes, you then will likely get a box asking if you'd like to Save or Open the file.
In this case, it is best to select Open. The download will start with a window that looks something like:
d. Next, the Welcome to the iTunes Installer window will open.
e. Select Next and the following License Agreement window will open.
You may wish to read over the Agreement (or not) and then select I accept the terms of the license Agreement then select Next.
f. The following window should open next.
By default the three options will be selected. Install desktop shortcuts. will put a shortcut on your desktop .. making it easy to load iTunes right from your desktop. Use iTunes as the default player for audio files. will make iTunes the default player for your CDs and MP3 files .. Windows Media Player or some other player is likely already set as the default player .. if you wish to not change that default, then leave this option unchecked. Install Apple Software Update ... will have the system check for updates.

The Destination Folder will default to putting iTunes in it's default place .. you can change this if you like by hitting Change ...
Then select Install. A window will open that looks something like this:
g. The Congratulations window will appear. Simply select Finish.
h. You will like get window next asking you to restart. You can select Yes to do the restart now (your computer will reboot and all programs will close down). You can select No to do other things on your computer (like save open documents), but you will not be able to use iTunes until your Restart or turn off you computer.
i. Once your computer has restarted or is turned back on again, you will find that iTunes is now in your Programs under Start. Go to Start, then select All Programs and then choose the iTunes folder and then iTunes. That process should look something like the following:
j. The next screen you will see is the iTunes Software License Agreement window. I know this is the second time you've agreed to this, but please select Agree to move forward.
h.
You will now go thorugh the iTunes Setup Assitant and see the Welcome to iTunes window .. select Next to keep moving forward.
The next window will ask to find the music that is currently on your computer. If you have have some music and you select these two check boxes, iTunes will search your computer for music and add it to your iTunes Music Library. If you don't wish iTunes to do this, then deselect both boxes. Then select Next.
The next window will ask you if you wish to keep your iTunes Music Folder organised. This means that iTunes will rename your music files and organise them into Folders named by the Artist and Album names. Select Yes or No and then Select Next.
The next window will ask if you wish to Download Album Artwork .. this is really just information for you to know .. you can read and select Next to move on.
If your computer does not have DirectX version 9 or later installed, this window appear to let you know that you should install it. iTunes will work without DirectX 9 but the artwork will be displayed better with DirectX 9. You can download the latest version of DirectX by clicking here. Select Next to keep going.
You are almost finished the iTunes installation. It now asks if you'd like to go to the iTunes Store or to your iTunes Library next. As we are wanting to get to the Highcalling Podcast and it is located in the iTunes Store, then choose Yes, take me to the iTunes Store and Select Finish.
i.
Having selected Finish, we're now taken to the iTunes Store and brought to their Feature Page. It will look something like this, although the content will likely be different as the Artists and Albums on this Feature Page are often changed up.
For reference, you can select any of the items under LIBRARY or STORE to see what is in each of those. To find the Highcalling Podcast to subscribe to it, you will search for it in the iTunes Store. Once you have subscribed, they will be in Podcasts.
